The Ann Arbor Pumas Wrestling Club is open to boys and girls (ages 7 to 18) who are interested in competing (or are serious about the sport, but are unable to compete due to physical or other limitations). The Club participates in folkstyle and freestyle wrestling competitions.
Practices are usually held in the Pioneer High School wrestling room on Wed from 4:30 to 6:00 pm and on Fri from 6:15 to 7:45 pm from Jan 11 to Feb 27, 2013. Please check our Calendar for our latest schedule of practices and events.

The Club also coaches the Youth Wrestling Program at the Ann Arbor YMCA during the Winter session beginning on Mar 1, 2013. This program is for beginners who may or may not be interested in competitive wrestling. Please contact the Ann Arbor YMCA for more information.
Fees
Our Club is unique in being a voluntary and community effort on the part of all of its participants (coaches, parents, and wrestlers).
Unlike other Clubs that operate on the basis of membership fees, the A2 Pumas depend on the contribution of time by all of its members.
The Club requires each participating family to assume responsibility for one aspect of the Club and to assist with other areas when possible. This can be one or the areas listed on our "Volunteers" page or anything else that will benefit our wrestlers.
Finally, each family shares in the cost of operating the Club. Currently, the Club’s only expenses are the annual dues payable to MYWAY (Michigan folkstyle wrestling association) and USA Wrestling (national freestyle wrestling association). Individual wrestlers will have additional expenses (such as tournament entry fees and the cost of equipment) that will be the responsibility of each family.
